Default Capital investment queries

Hi.
I am in the process of applying for an E2 visa.
One question I do have is, what does the capital investment contribute as? For example, I know assets is one part of it. The other is raw dollar cash.

can things like flight tickets for finding business locations be included, provided receipts/invoices are supplied?

not entirely. all I can say at the moment is that it is in the IT sector. but this isn't quite the question. The question is, I am "actively" investing. Part of this would be flying over to find property and the like.
would tickets/travel be added as part of the capital investment?

I doubt very much it would be, investment is pure capital. Money in the back as it were.

Yeah, this just sounds like a small business expense, something you could try claiming back at tax time.

If you're needing to use this to bolster up your capital investment to a sizeable sum, chances are the investment isn't going to be big enough.

I spent $30,000 in hotels, flights and other set up expenses when establishing my E2 Visa business and I put this in the application as part of my investment. I do not know if I got any credit for it, but I would think you would. But you need to make a substantial contribution, and this sort of set-up expense is but a minor part.

Sounds iffy. I hope you're not trying to launder it.
