Default Canadian PR entry to U.S. on B2 visa

Hi,

if I get a Canadian PR, can I get a visitor visa to U.S. immeidately after landing or is there any term, e.g. 6 months, for which I cannot enter the U.S.? I am a Korean citizen and the purpose of visit is just for tour. I have lived in the U.S. for 6 years as a student. Someone told me that I cannot apply for a visitor visa for a certain term after becoming a Canadian PR. I'd appreciate any kind of answers. Thanks.

There is no specific rule, however it would usually be wise to wait until you could clearly demonstrate you are *settled* in Canada (eg you have a stable job).
