Default Can someone help me with the following situation?

1. what's the process to change the employer before coming to US
(or after coming to US) ?
2. when the six years of H1b circle starts? like from the day I
cross the US borders? or from the day I got the stamp?
3. I have given 2 years stamp in my passport. Why they haven't
given it for 3 years instead?

Angel2006, The answer to 2 is that it is your first day in the USA. Any days you spend out of the US in the following six years do not count against your H1B and can be 'tacked' onto the end of the timeperiod to extend your stay, but you need to be able to document them and reapply with the data.

Hi Witty,

What if another employer in the USA needs to sponsor me for the visa.
The employer who has sponsored me at the moment do not have a project
assigneed. Therefore my current company would like to give me an
company transfer to the US. can I work with my current branch company
in the US using the same H1-B visa? Can I change the employers and
get a Hi-B transfer from the previously sponsored company to the
current company's branch in the US?

If you are transferring to the USA within the same company you work for now, you're looking at an L1 visa.

I am not 100% sure, but I am thinking there is no "transfer" of the H1 visa...if you have a completely new employer from the one who did your first H1, and it's a different company than the one you work for now, you would need a NEW H1 visa. Hopefully someone can confirm this.

I agree with Noorah101, a new employer requires a new H1B. These are not transferable.

They are....they just don't extend the time you have on one and they wouldn't bite into another cap situation.
