One question: I applied for a new SSC with my married name, but it will still take a couple of weeks, according to the SSA office.
There is a high chance, that in the meantime my EAD will arrive. Can i start working right away? I mean, its just a name change, the number doesn't change. In my opinion I can just start to work with the EAD and give the employer my existing SSN.
Please can somebody confirm this?

Yes. The SSN actually won't change. Just make sure that you have the name
change with the SSA finalized before you file taxes. The IRS does check
name mismatches.

Absent extraordinary circumstances, your SSN is your SSN for life. It's
valid whether or not you have the physical card. Go ahead and use it.
(Example of extraordinary circumstance: you are placed in the federal
witness protection program and given a new identity. You can see this
would be an extremely rare circumstance.)
