Default California Service Center Delays.

I filed my I140/I485/EAD together in Aug 2002. So far my I140 and
Advance Parole have been approved. Its been more than 6 months since
I had filed for the EAD and yet no progress at the INS California
service center. Anybody have any ideas regarding this delay at CSC?
Also, any cases of approved I485 that were filed in the past few
months (that took advantage of the I140/I485 concurrent filing)?

Call them during business hours. Be patient; you will probably have to
redial for hours before you get through, and then spend another hour on
hold. The processing time is indeed near six months, but shouldn't be more
than that.

It's also interesting to know that your I-140 was approved! I had been
under the impression that with concurrent filing, the I-140 and I-485
would be approved at the same time.

My I485 receipt date is in August 2002 and the current processing date for I485s is December 2001, they have done about a month in the last year, so I guess that means I have about 8 YEARS to go at the current rate. 6 months? It takes 8 for the Advanced Parole to be issued now, so I can't even travel at present. What a mess.
