Sorry mate should have explained.

Currently to attain trader registration for council disability works requires accreditation so not many firms do it, considered specialized trade.
The historical stuff is similar in that our work on listed buildings has been through historical societies/national trust so again carried out by limited number of companies, again considered fairly specialized.
Just mentioned these two fields as if the U.S has similar areas of construction considered specialized then hopefully it may give me a bit more of a unique selling point.

Cheers, Paul

No problem. I'm an engineer, not a builder so I consider myself educated.
From Gloucester BTW. Worked in Stourport for 8 years. How is the old place?

We have just obtained an L1 in very similar circumstances.i own a type of construction company in the Uk and also set one up in the US. we succesfully obtained a visa and our lawyer laid the foundations for renewal/GC in that application.

you will definitely need a good lawyer, it might also help if your Uk company was not just owned by you/your wife (maybe include your dad as a share holder if he isnt already).

it is definitley possible

Stourport is still Mini-Blackpool by the River! Only joking everything is pretty good considering the recession.
Where in Gloucester? I studied Business & Finance at the Uni and lived for a year in Coney Hill before moving to the Cheltenham side. Used to have the dubious pleasure of doing the door at K.C's (The Kennel Club!).
