Billy Mays Dead

Re: Billy May Dead
Wow, how incredibly creepy... I just read an article about his life in the American Way magazine on an AA flight yesterday. Saw it, without knowing his name but clearly recognizing the face, and figured it was a bit random... but with bugger all else to do worth a read.
The article talked about him starting out in NYC as a street seller.
It was actually quite an interesting read.

I cant believe he is dead, he was great. In fact, in honour of his memory I'll rephrase that....I CANT BELIEVE HE IS DEAD, HE WAS GREAT!!

SWMBO said he made a movie, or something, with Barry Scott. Anybody know anything about that?

Look on the bright side - perhaps this will get Michael Jackson out of the news ...

Damn but you guys are hardened ;-(
If his autopsy comes back like Natasha Richardson's that he died due to brain injuries suffered during the hard landing of the US Airways plane in Tampa, can only imagine the lawsuit to follow.
At least this should be the end of the deaths for a bit. They only come in lots of three.

Ed McMahon was the first then followed by Farrah, and Michael and now Billy.
If it turns out to be from being struck in the head on his flight Saturday night (apparently not wearing a seat belt from some media sources) it just goes to show how important it is to seek medical treatment for any head injury regardless of how small or trivial it might seem.

Re: Billy May Dead
Apparently his wife said he was feeling unwell before he went to bed. After Natasha Richardson's death if I felt unwell after a knock to the head they'd have to drag me out of the CAT scan machine at the nearest hospital.

Re: Billy May Dead
Can someone please clarify?
Did Billy Mays hit the overhead compartment because he wasn't wearing a seatbelt? (I know that the cabin crew just give a cursory glance as they stroll down the aisle).
Or did the (unlocked) overhead compartment burst open during the heavy landing and heavy baggage fall out? I guess he was in an aisle seat....it peeves me that people take very heavy bags onboard instead of checking them.
If it's the latter, then all passengers basically have no chance and perhaps should all be issued with cycle helmets......

And given that the entry refers to his death, it looks pretty much up to date...

And how many times have you ever seen anyone hit by something that fell from an over head bin?
