Beware of e-filing I-765 for AOS
Hi,
The saga continues...... I e-filed my EAD for AOS from K-1 on Jun 5th 2003. I spoke to the national unhelp line several times to determine that I was eligible to e-file. Sent copy of I-94 and Marriage license as proof.... August 23rd - I get an RFE saying that they need proof of AOS (receipt from the I-485) which I don't have due to the fact that Charlotte has not sent me one yet and it has now been almost 3 months
If I had sent it all in to Charlotte together then at least the proof would be there and I would be able to go next week and demand my EAD on the 91st day. Now I have no idea when I will get me EAD. Does an RFE mean that they can extend issuance past the 90 days? What can I Do?????

I never received a receipt for my AOS papers from NYC Fed Plaza either, so I guess I'll have to file my EAD renewal at the NYC office again...
Did you try using other proofs of payment in lieu of the receipt? For example, copies of the cashed and returned checks?
