best way to live in the US is with a job, with medical insurance, and in a house

But ways into the US, aren't easy...and family sponsorship would take years.

Don't know much about EB5, but do know that it would require a significant investment and isn't easy to get, especially from the London Consulate.

It may be easier for people to answer my question if I add that I already own a home in california and am prepared to make a substantial investment...thanks ardua.

Make a substantial investment in an immigration lawyer, then.

I guess the amount of your substantial investment would determine which visa you can qualify for. If you do some research, you will see that different investment-type visas require different amounts of funds to invest.

Owning a home in the USA probably doesn't help nor hurt your application.

owning a home in the US doesn't give you any benefits...a significant investment for the EB5 would be $1M...or $500K if in a deprived area.

EB-5 is hardly a stroll in the park ....

There are 10000 visa available for that visa per year
they gave out
2000 231 issued
2001 183 "
2002 147 "
2003 71 "
2004 126 "

Applicants must meet three basic requirements to obtain an EB-5 visa:

Establishment of a business.
Investment of at least $1 million in the business (though $500,000 is acceptable in certain cases).
Creation of full-time employment for at least 10 US workers.

And every penny you provide they will need to know where it came from ...

There are so many ways to live in United States.

According to your option -Business(eb-5)

1) The applicant must have good business establishment.

2) Minimum requirement for business must be in between $1 million to $ 2 millions

Keep on posting.

Actually, there are only 2 ways to live in the US... legally or illegally. If illegally, then there are many ways in which one might achieve that. If legally, then there are very few ways. Additionally, there are people who can live legally in the US but are not allowed to work.
