background check
Hi!
We filed my AOS package 11/2202 and had an interiew 12/2003 at the
Norfolk, VA BCIS. At the interview the officer told me that everything
is fine and she would have approved me, but my background check has
not cleared yet. I checked couple of months later with the FBI and
they told me they sent the answer to the BCIS the next day after they
got my fingerprints.Does CIA do a backround check as well? How much
longer can it take? I know three people who filed at the same field
office and aleady got their stamp. Is there something I can do in
this situation or I simply have to wait? Anyone knows the phone number
I can check the status of the background check with the CIA or Norfolk
field office?
Thank you.
Alexei

Re: background check
CIA doesn't do any checks. Why don't you write your local office and request the status of your case? How about calling 1-800 number? If these steps don't work, write to your congressman, and have him/her do the check for you.
