There really is not too much to tell you, as it depends extremely on
your specific circumstances. Most visa interviews tend to be very
simple. However, B-2 visas from citizens of visa waiver countries tend
to be tricky. The main reason is that, because most UK citizens don't
need a visa, you need to convince the consular officer that you have a
legitimate need for one. The interview will likely focus on that
particular need, and on evidence that you do plan to return to the UK.

Re: B2 Visa London Interview
I may be a bit out of date, a couple of years but here goes:
You do queue outside while they check that you have the interview document and that you do have any bombs etc. I would get there early.
There is a seperate office for K Visa's and maybe immigrants, but all others including B go into the main hall, you have to hand over your mobile and I think Laptop at the desk as they are not allowed in.
You queue up to sign in, are give an number and then are told to wait, now that varies but an hour or two. So take a Book.
You get called up asked questions and maybe told yeah or neah or you might have to wait again for more deliberation.
I got the impression that most of the people applying for B2's did not qualify for a VWP, lady I was sitting next to was Polish married to a UKC, living in the UK, and they wanted to go to US on Holiday. I did not get the impression there were many UKC's who were eligible for VWP, but did not conduct a survey!
