Perhaps this person wants to get you into the US, get you firmly established, and then bleed you of your last penny while you pay them in an effort to stay.

How old is the daughter? What type of job is lined up?

I think what you should do is a whole lot of slowing down, pardner.

Come on now.. name names please.

Of course, the attorney does not have to be in the UK, Wesley. Did you get a reply back from the attorney you were working with before? Learn anything new to enlighten us as to her plan?

Perhaps the "3-year visa" being referred to is the H-1B, which is normally granted for an initial three-year period?

Brighton.

I would also call scam. A bit weird as your chances of a B were close to 0.

I have not heard back from the lawyer, I called Friday but she was in court.

Please pm me with your recommendations as I want to start the process immediately. I have been back for 2 weeks in London and I'm fed up already!!

You really should learn to use the quote feature! It'll make your posts much easier to follow when we know what you're referring to... without people needing to re-read the thread to get that info!

Also, why do you want this info via PM? Is there a reason you wouldn't want to share the name of a good attorney?

I knew that Ray would make the same recommendation I would have. I was right -- he did.

I think you'll need a bit more patience than that; this isn't going to happen in a matter of weeks.

Why don't you tell people what the job offer is, and what you are hoping to achieve re: visa/green card? Then some of the wise people on this board can advise you, hopefully a bit better than the lawyer you spoke to before!
