Since it was 6 months we've been denied visas, We tried esta again. My wife was on status pending and then approved. I was denied right away.

Both your outcomes are within the expected range. Your chances of getting approved for an ESTA will be better after another six months, but still not certain.

Well I'm in the same club but under different circumstances.
It's a miserable club to join I'd say - in for the updates and to hear what comes of it!

If I was given an ESTA, I wouldn't get on a plane to the USA without going through some sort of pre-authorised border control for the USA before leaving this side of the Atlantic.
There's no way I'd want to repeat the experience of flying all the way to the USA, being grilled for hours then being detained and put back on a plane (and not knowing just how long all of this will take at the time).
It's not that the experience is terrible, it's simply such a waste of time and effort.
I believe Shannon airport in the Republic of Ireland has this feature for pre-approval of immigration?
