Default awaiting I-864

My joint sponsor has mailed me the I-864 that she has completed. She is a US citizen however she only works part time and does not meet the poverty line for her household, as she is supported by her husband.

She says she has put down his income on the form and therefore I assume that he has signed the I-864A.

Does he have to send me copies of his proof of employment, tax returns etc or do I just need hers?

I am filing DFC - London for an immigrant visa.

Any help would be appreciated, as I would like to get this most important form right before I apply for my interview.

Thanks

I think you will need proof of income and proof of citizenship for all income relied upon in the I-864 / I864A.

The co-sponsor does not have to a USC. They can be a Permanent Resident. Birth certificate is required if a USC and proof of residency if a PR.

Also since the wife of the couple is not eligible to be financial sponsor since her income is insufficient her husband should do the main I-864 and the wife the I-864A although there should be no issue if done the othe way around. As to your other question, yes, both will have to supply tax returns, employment letters, etc.
