Approval notice from CSC

49 days, exactly 34 working days. 1 NOA 10/29 2 NOA 12/17. I printed out the
notice of approval from the INS site. Anybody knows if I can fax this over
to the embassy and ask to open a provisional file, or should I wait for the
mailed notice ?

Which Embassy? London doesnt need to see an approval to open a provisional file, but some Embassies wont open one at all.

I'm not sure if this is still the case, but when we went through the
K-1 process in 1998 (Calif. Service Center and the London Embassy), I
sent a color photocopy of the the I-129 approval notice to the Embassy
(hoping to speed things up), and they returned it. They would not
open anything until they received the offical package from the CSC.
Did you put "Upon approval please cable to "XXX" Emabssy" on your
I-129F? I did, and I'm not sure it sped things up, but it didn't
hurt.

Good luck!
