Applying for H4 EAD
Hi All,
May I know is it fine to apply for EAD on your own , without taking any help of attorney?
Or there would be chances of getting RFE?

An H4 holder can't apply for an EAD unless you are going through the AOS process. Are you?

The EAD form is fairly straightforward if you take your time. I've done it twice without the assistance of an attorney and had no problems.

The form is straightforward if you're used to filing paperwork.
Paying a lawyer may assuage your anxiety.

You may have the I-140 approved but has the attorney submitted your adjustment of status papers yet? If not, then she has no basis for obtaining an EAD.

It's designed to help people who can't file for AOS because they're waiting for their priority date to become current. The current administration are moving to end it though so who knows what'll happen.
