Apply for a USA visa at a different European embassy?

I am applying for an O-1 visa next week, and I was curious if it was possible to apply at an embassy other than my local one, eg: as a brit it is expected I would file for a visa in London, however, due to timing (2 weeks in London, 4 days in Brussels) it would be vastly more convenient for me to fly to Brussels and interview there.

I have commitments in USA that mean I want to at least try and get my visa asap.

I was curious if anyone had done this or how it was received by the american immigration?

I have a memory of others being successful at it, so I believe it is, yes. You'll need to remain in Brussels long enough to get your passport back... no idea how long that'll take.

Living in Cali until recently (UK citizen), I successfully renewed an H1B in Frankfurt then again in Copenhagen when I flew back to Europe for job interviews. I booked interviews online through each individual US Embassy website and in each case received my passport back in about 6-7 days. Good luck!

I should probably update my Location info, given that I'm in Copenhagen now...

Belfast is (in my experience) hands down the best one to use in the UK.
