I'm currently filling out the I-485 and advanced parole application forms for my Russian
wife. Her first name currently appears on various documents as follows: "Oksana" (K1
visa); "Oxana" (I-129F approval notice); "Oxana" (her Russian passport); "Oksana"
(marriage certificate). She does not have a SS card yet.

1. Does the INS care which spelling we use for the adjustment of status forms?

2. Does the INS care which last name we use - her maiden name or my last name?

Thanks, William

NO, as long as you list all of the other spellings in the "other names by which you are
known" section of the G-325A form, you should be ok.

They do not care, suggest using the name by which she will be known.
