Anyone file for SSN via South Carolina office?
Looking for people who applied for/received their SSN through any of the South Carolina Social Security offices. Would like estimate on what kind of time frame they operate. Cheers.

SSA is very organized and efficient. I went through Louisiana but they offered the number the next day with the actual card in the mail in 10 days as i recall.
If there is a slow up it will originate with CIS in my opinion.
Good Luck.

I got my SSN in SC very quickly. I believe you should have gotten a letter when you applied (if you've applied yet) that states if you haven't recieved it within a specific time frame to contact them.
If you didn't get a letter, contact your local office. They should be able to check into it for you.

Cheers, Tracey. We'll be requesting his SSN via the DS-230 Part II. Not exactly sure/confident that's the best way, though ....

I hope he isn't applying for a K visa. That is only available to people
over 18 applying for immigrant visas and all K visas are nonimmigrant.
