Just curious - My case will be forwarded to Montreal - did they indicate how long it would take to become "overdue" in their opinion and how was the reception to your questions...

According to them it takes 4 to 6 weeks to process. They won't consider it overdue until after 6 weeks.

As for response, not so good. NVC was friendly and helpful. Montreal can be short, rude, inconsistent. Today, I've been on hold for 40 min waiting to talk to someone. Still waiting, and you can only call between 2pm and 4:30 for Visa questions.

I don't think you are alone in waiting for Montreal, it seems that there are a few on this newsgroup and I'm about to join you- hang in there

Default Consulate delays

Has anyone had to wait more than 3 months to hear from consulate? Please let me know, I'm very worried. My case was approved by NVC in November 29! (Four months). Consulate (Juarez) won't give me any info other than that the required background security check is not complete yet. They won't say who does this check or how long it usually takes. I sure would appreciate any feedback! Thanks.
