Default is any of this normal?

Hi guys
Well i went to the interview today in Kansas City. Got there by 10 as it said on the letter, and you know me nervous as all hell

Anyway i got asked if i had ever been arrested, that was all they asked really. Then they asked for evidence for our joint lives, so i bombarded them with 3 files. She said that i may have to see a civil surgeon because part of my vaccines were done in the uk and part were done here, is that normal proceedure?

She couldnt stamp my passport as half of my file is in springfield mo where i live, and part of it in Kansas City, again is that normal?. Anyway, she said that i had more than enough evidence to prove that we were married, and then she left the room for a bit. She left us talking among ourselves, s0 we started talking about the big get together on labor day, then they mysteri0usly came back, i suppose it was to see what we would discuss while they were gone, we were told that it was being taped anyway....

S0 she said that technically we were appr0ved, but i w0uld have t0 wait f0r the 0fficial letter.

Anyway thanks f0r every0nes help 0ver the past c0uple 0f years and g00d luck t0 every0ne else.

S0rry f0r 0's but keyb0ard has run 0ut 0f little 0's f0r s0me reas0n.

Thanks t0 all that have helped 0n this difficult j0urney.

Morning Shelley

Glad to hear the interview is over and was successful. Sorry though about the non-stamping.

As for the file issue, and I find this ironically funny because of the interview location, it appears that you are having the same problem Jim and I had at our interview. Although we were in NYC we weren't stamped on the spot because the original file was in Kansas City, MO. Actually it was in the national archive in Lee's Summit, MO and had not been returned in time for the interview. All our agent had was the skelton file kept in NYC and could not give the final approval without the original file.

Take heart, the approval letter should come within the next month and you will go back for your I-551 stamp. Did you complete the I-89 card with the single digit print and signature? If so, when the file surfaces it will be sent to the service center for manufacture.

Rete

PS as for the vaccination reports, no that is not normal. Many people have started the vaccinations in their home country and completed them in the US. It will all be in black and white when she gets your original file. Hopefully you have copies of both reports.

N0, using the number ZERO as an "O" or "o" is not normal. What was your point, it
was missed on me.

Morning Rete, How are you doing?
Yeah i had to complete the card with the signature and the fingerprint. She did say that technically we are approved, but we would have to wait for the letter. She did say that hopefully my vaccination stuff was in the k1 visa information file, which i am assuming is the one stuck here in Springfield.

She kept the passports up in KC. so that when the files are joined together, the passports will be stamped and sent by registered mail. So do you think it looks ok that they did this?

Thanks

Yup it looks fine to me. Saves you the trip and unless you are planning on leaving the country in the next month or so, not a big hassle.

If you can write down her name and you can always write to her directly if the need arises.

UPDATE
Had the letter from the INS stating that i have to go and see one of their drs here in springfield mo. Made an appointment going on thursday with the paperwork they have sent me which is basically a list of vaccines i should have had here and in the uk. Taking my shot records from here and the uk with us. They did state in the letter that they sent me that i had 12 weeks in which to do this and get it back to them or they cannot proceed with the approval.. So if all goes well on Thursday I will be fed-exing this up to them on overnight and hopefully that will do the trick.

For some reason they are paying extra attention to this. Also apparently they hadn't recieved any of my information from here in Springfield to Kansas City either and yet when we called Springfield ins office (yeah i was surprised that there was one here too) they said that my file was in transit. Anyway hopefully this will be the end of the matter.
