Default Any Idea, Anyone?

I have applied for us visitor visa from Islamabad Embassay for myself and wife. Finally after the interview the visa officer said that you qualify for visa and your visa will be issued after administrative checks are done in dc. It will take around 2 weeks.

I wanted to ask if there is any website on the internet where i can check about the status or where i can get an idea that how long it is actually taking.

Thank you

No, there is no way to check for embassy visas online.

Try contacting the embassy.

Good luck

There is no way to check. Please don't believe the "two weeks" figure. The
"administrative check" is likely the security background check, and can
take anything from a few weeks to a very long time. I just got an email
from somebody for whom it took 1.5 years, although the majority of cases
are completed in around four to six weeks, and the FBI says that 97% are
completed in four months.

I emailed the US embassy about the status of my case. I just got a reply from them that please collect your passport from the Courier service next week, Thank you.

This sounds normal. The question is whether the passport will be with or
without your visa. If the processing is length, the consulate will, upon
request, return the passport to you without the visa, and later tell you
to come back and get the visa once processing is complete.

Thanks for your help. Actually i am also confused about the same. In my email to the embassy i specifically said that as i was told that my passports will be sent to me in 2 weeks after the visas issuance and now that 2 weeks have passed i wanted to know the status of my passports. I also said that i am planning vacation in the second week of may and i would appreciate that i could get the status of my passports. I didnt asked them to send my passports back i just asked about the status of my passports.. I hope they are not thinking that he wants his passports back?? should i send them another email? God i am so confused...

I hope that they are sending the passports with the visas.. what do you think?
thanks
