Default another sad Nebraska site

I found this link months ago, probably from this site.

http://roth01.ttorney.com/aaData/aaW...SStat?Center=N

I have been watching their daily approvals too. Life can get boring waiting on a Nebraska approval on the internet, which I guess is where many of us have met our futures. It shows that this group hasnt had an approval in the last four weeks from Nebraska.

Sadly it also shows that even hiring a lawyer cannot 'speed up' the Nebraska process.

You are correct, however I don’t see anything sad about it. It wouldn’t be fair to everybody else if simply having an attorney (or calling in a Congressman for that matter) meant that case was going to be processed before someone else’s case who filed first. Everybody’s case is important to them.

What an attorney with experience can do is try to spot any red flag issues and come up with a plan to help reduce the odds of any potential problem turning into an actual problem, prepare the forms avoiding the beginner mistakes that can slow down the process (reduce the odds of receiving an RFE), prepare a well documented submission that achieves a balance between being well documented and overkill (you want to present it in such a way that it is as easy as possible for that BCIS and Consular officer to breeze through it and approve it), prepare a well documented affidavit of support package, be there to answer the client’s questions as they come up along the way, and probably most importantly, go to bat for the client if the BCIS or Consulate screw up along the way.

All of these things can help a case move as quickly as possible.

oops....sorry Matt

I didnt mean to put lawyers down as a bad thing. But after waiting too long in our service center, one begins to question what they could have done to move things along quicker, including getting a professional to do things correct and faster.

Btw I appreciate all your 'free' advice and answers that you post on the newsgroup, thanks for that.

No problem, and no offense taken. I often point out what it is that an attorney can and cannot do in regard to various situations. I want my callers to know (who are interested in hiring me) what I can do for them as well as what I can’t promise. I want them to have realistic expectations.

I suppose I should add to my boilerplate response (about what an attorney can and cannot do) about looking for any facts in the particular couples situation that might make it worth arguing for an expedite, and implementing that plan of action if appropriate.

Good luck with your case.

Matthew Udall
