Would all depend on the conviction wouldn't it...drink drive more likely to be over looked...pinching something, less so especially when in a position of trust.

Doesn't mean it's right, but when competing against hordes of other experienced people they are looking for anything to chuck you off the considered pile.

Thankfully, most states are very careful when it comes to screening and licensing medical professionals. Too much of the state's resources would be used for the screening. You've got to be careful when allowing access to vulnerable people.
