advance parole question
I am currently on O-1 visa and my EB-1 petition is pending. After EB-1 is
approved and I file my I-485, do I need advance parole to travel outside of USA while 1-485 is pending? Thanks in advance Thyagarajan Subramanian |
Re: advance parole question
You may want to verify this, but as far as I know, you can use the O-1
visa the same way as the H-1B visa to travel in place of Advance Parole. On Wed, 23 Apr 2003 02:01:58 +0000, Meghaps wrote: > I am currently on O-1 visa and my EB-1 petition is pending. Since 1999, there have been two nonimmigrant statuses, H-1 and L-1, which give the status holder the privilege of traveling outside the U.S. after filing Form I-485, without abandoning the I-485, and without having advance parole. O-1 is not such a status. See http://www.shusterman.com/hl-99regs.html. |
