Abandoning green card

Hello

I’m about to mail my green card in to say it’s been abandoned, I left the USA pre covid and didn’t return due to having a baby and not want to leave during a pandemic. Anyway my husband is now applying to live in England and we’re going through that application.
just wondering how long after mailing my green card in will it take to process, does anyone know if I’ll be able to travel on a esta again or not?!

Obviously we have family in America and most of them have not met our daughter so I’d love to do a visit next year, will this be possible?

We have strong ties to the UK, husbands visa, tenancy, car, job etc

thanks

If you are eligible to use the VWP you should be OK.

Timelines on anything would be a guess.

Form I-407

It might be a good idea to look into the issues regarding US income taxation and social security.
