4 Green Card Welcome Letters?
Hi,
I was wondering if someone might know anything about the welcome letter you recieve that welcomes you to the US and tells you your green card should come in about 3 weeks?
My husband and I had our interview June 18 - and got approved. Our first of four welcome letters came July 17th, the next one July 19th and then two came yesterday, July 24 - each in seperate envelopes though.
They all say the same thing, with the exception of the date processed.
Is this something to be worried about, and which one do we go by? the first, or second or the duo of the fourth one?
We filed through Nebraska - Milwaukee - adjustment of status - 10 year green card as we've been married over 2 years.
Thanks much,
Kamie

Interesting. Somebody else recently reported a similar phenomenon from the
Texas Service center.

Apparently, nothing to worry about, just a computer glitch. When you say
"which one to go by", is there anything of importance in that letter? The
Green Card itself will probably take far longer than three weeks, so that
information you can safely ignore.

Re: 4 Green Card Welcome Letters?
Hi,
My husband recently adjusted status and he received five welcome letters.
Four came one day and one came the following day.
He received his green card (just one) about a week after the first set of
letters arrived.

Re: 4 Green Card Welcome Letters?
Thanks all.
It seems I shant worry anymore and hopefully his green card is here soon.
We want it to come, becaues it's been a very long wait for it. We filed in 98 so we are just ready to have it in our hot little hands.
Thanks again.

Re: 4 Green Card Welcome Letters?
Well as soon as I posted the previous reply - I went downstairs and outside to check the mail.
Guess what was in the mailbox? The green card!!! Whoo hoo. It came 8 days after our first letter and just 37 days after our interview.
Thanks for all the replies and so I didn't worry anymore...
