1). I am having an employer start the process for green card for me. The INS website says
that in order to qualify for Section 245, only the labor certification needs to be filed
before April 30, 2001. My question is, can I trust them or should I also file the I-140
at the same time even though the I-140 application usually comes after the Labor
certification has been approved?

2). Does the law firm handling my case has any influence in making sure that the process
goes smoothly. In other words, how much is it to my advantage to convince my company to
hire a lawyer firm has worked with many of these type cases and established a
relationship with govt agencies involved. Or are they all(law firms) equal in the eyes
of the Dept. of Labor and INS.

Thanks!
