180 days & work
I wonder if anyone can shed a little light on this? I have read that if I were to be in the US for 180 days it would be deemed I am living there. In this moment I am unsure how long I will be staying, I will have a 3 year 03 visa while my husband works there. I may or may not stay there consistently throughout the one year job. There is some work I can do online while staying in the US but I obviously don't want to breech anything. Is the 180 days counted from Jan - Dec? Is it okay if I continue my job online as long as I do not work beyond the 180 days?

The substantial presence text relates to taxes -- the O-3 does not permit you to work in the US, even remotely. However, full or part-time study is permitted.
