I do not make 125% of the poverty line. I am in college and my fiance is a Sys Admin
in Canada. He has a great deal more money than I do. This confuses me a bit. If I put
my father as another person on the I-134, do we have to live with him? (I go to
school in ny, my parents live in pa) Also, do you think I have good chances getting
approved since I am still in collge? I just don't think we could bear to wait till I
am finished. Thanks a lot Chrissy Rockwell

No, I don't think you have to live with your father if you use him as a co-sponser. My fiancé's dad co-sponsered me to be safe and we're not going to be living with them when we're married. Also, you won't put his name "as another person" on the I-134 though - he'll need his own form. Being in college shouldn't matter - the INS doesn't mind if you're young, just as long as you can provide another family member as a sponser.

take care, Jennie

No, you don't have to live with your co-sponsor.

It doesn't matter as long as you and your co-sponsor make 125% of the poverty level.

While we're on the subject, does anyone know if a co-sponsor can use an additional family member (her husband) on the I-134?

Cheers,

-Harry
