Default Home in May

Came to the heart breaking decision to return home in May with my boys. I'm only heart broken because I am leaving my OH behind . He will follow us at the end of the year. We haven't settled and have really struggled to make it work. Yes we have seen some lovely sights and done some great family things but it doesn't make up for the things that are important to us back in the UK. Having family and friends around is so important and not having any support has been a huge factor in this decision. It's been an emotional adventure but for us it's the right decision. I am grateful for the chance we had to try to make a new life for ourselves as it has opened our eyes and made us realise what is really important to us.

I hope everyone else journey is a happy one.

We're flying back in May but only for a 3 week visit. I start a new job in March and I've just purchased the wife her dream car so we're definitely committed to Oz. It does take time to settle into life here and it doesn't suit everyone.

I sort of feel sorry for you,, its a huge upheavel leaving a job/house, friends & family in the 1 st place. I agree it takes a long time for some to settle, this is why you should not put pressure on yourself. I sort of feel you have been let down also,, were there no friends who could`ve supported you more? Big part of moving to OZ is that your friends become your new family, if you find the right ones that is.

Good luck with your move back to the UK, hope you settle back quickly.

Well done for even having the bottle to have ago

Good luck with your move to your new life! Sorry Aus hasnt worked out for you - it isnt a magical land and it isnt for everyone and you will have so much more going for you back in UK. The time will fly by and your DH will be back with you and your family can move on together. {{{hugs}}}
