Hi Jacqui A great read. Thanks for taking the time to share your trip with us. It was informative and good to hear you speak about places we have been. It's a lovely place ain't it. Bet you can't wait to get back. I know we are itching. We are hoping to take off around June time ( house sale allowing ) Hopefully we might meet up in Brisbane. Cheers :D

Hi

It wasnt boring at all it just reminded me about things I love and hate about brissie and I cannot wait to get back there after living here for 8 years. There is loads of us going to brissie around june time and it seems a lot of us are looking at the north lakes area.

Glad you enjoyed your reccie and good luck with everything.

Great post Jacqui! Was interesting to hear about North Lakes as that is one of the areas we have been looking into. Hope your house sale goes well, keep us updated on your progress.

Yes I am sure we looked at them too. Have to say was really impressed with most of the builders but Plantation had the design that we wanted. There were a couple of builders that also said they would customise the home but can't remember what they were called so wouldn't totally rule them out yet.

Thanks for your earlier comments on Carina Links. We drove around there again before we left and still quite liked it. Not sure if there are many families with kids there though - do you know? And also are they allowed to play outside? Still haven't ruled them out in the short term but it depends on availability when we are ready to come over.

The Links is primarily a family-based complex. There are quite a few families there with young children and you will find children playing in the street (certainly in Prudence Court) quite a lot of the time. There are strict rules about speeding and parking on-road, which are there for the benefit of the children and the fact that they like to play in the street. One word of warning though (again) would be to plump for Prudence court if you can as Kate Street is a through road and people do use it as a shortcut (even though they're not allowed to as it's private property).

Thanks for that - it's really helpful. All we need is to know our dates for leaving so we can try and arrange accommodation.

Thanks everyone for your comments. We did really enjoy our trip and are so glad we were able to make it - 2 weeks definitely wasn't enough time though but hey it was better than nothing.

Hi Donna

Not yet unfortunately. Got a couple of things to do around the house first before we put it on the market but are hoping to have it on certainly within the next 3 weeks. Houses in Forfar are shifting pretty quick just now but I guess it all depends on when someone wants to move in. We are hoping for May but don't know how realistic this is.

What about you guys? Is your place on the market yet?

Hi like you got a few little things to do to the house. We're hoping to have it on next week. They are shifting fairly quickly thru here also, so fingers crossed it will happen soon. Neil has got his heart set on going early June. All kinda came together quick and how real does it now feel. Got our passports back from London yesterday.
All the best with the sale. You never know we might be on the same flight. :D

Yep that would be cool.

Fingers crossed for your sale too. Yeah it still is a bit surreal just now. Feel totally fine about it all at the moment but wonder what it will be like when it comes time to say goodbye to everyone. Mind you I just want to get going as soon as possible.
