Been here in Perth 4 weeks. Absolutely loving it. Staying in Ocean Reef. Our 5year old son is going to Beaumaris Primary School and loving it. Weather has been great.

For anyone with last minute nerves just do it. You won't regret it.

Have done all the usual stuff for new people. Visited Kings park, Hilary's, Mullallo beach, Midaire marine.

Registered with medicare and applied for tax file number . Easy. Set up bank account with Westpac. Easy.

Bought Toyota Corolla Automatic. You have to be prepared to haggle over price. They insist its the lowest price they can go to until you say take the cash or leave it. Never driven an auto before but its a peice of cake.

The only slight negatives are the price of food and finding a long term rental. With the exchange rate bombing it makes food and general shopping a bit more expensive than the UK. And finding a long term rental for us has been a challenge but I think thats because we are fussy and want to live in a soecific area.

Overall having the time of our lives.
