Well, well, you were here in Sept eh! From what I can remember the weather was pretty dam good all that month:) Sounds like you all enjoyed it anyway!
Anything to do with the arts and drama is well supported in Cairns - she will have no problem finding one that suits her. I am into singing and drama, did both for years, so I do take notice of whats happening in that respect and there is loads, especially with Cairns High School:) Some excellent talent has come out of there since being here. Good luck with selling yr house, it still seems to be one of the main things holding a lot of expats up re getting to OZ :( Enjoy the rollercoaster ride - we did and now its GREAT:D Gill :) It must be getting quite hot there now? The weather was fine for us when we were there. The only thing we are concerned about are reports of a wild lion that is known to frequent the Cairns suburbs. Not sure if this is just an urban myth? BS:) |
Re: Another anniversary

Only parts of Edge Hill and Stratford are in the catchment. |
Re: Another anniversary
Hi Bix
Had a look at the map again so where is whitfield housing then, in relation to the big green patch on the map. Saw the bit with Edge Hill, doesn't look like we are left with a lot to choose from may have to rethink things kids wont be happy unless we live in flight path we live not far from flight path in newcastle so may not bother us. AAARRRGGGHHH. Do you happen to know, you probably do what the area below the school within catchment is called, and what is Stratford like. Once again thanks kaye x |

The biggest area in the catchment is the airport! We will be renting to start and will probably look at Holloways Beach until we buy and then move up into the hills. I'm sure once children are settled in the school and then move out of the catchment they can continue at the school? When are you planning to move over? BS:) |

BS:) I really dont know when we are moving to be honest just waiting for the yes or no to visas. I wanted to be there for new school year starting, ive got football managers begging us to stay, kids who want to do end of season football tours, finish selling the house. AAARRRGGH its all getting frustrating I dont want to keep having to say no digging myself further in, if we are still in UK in may I will not be a happy bunny :) Kaye |

Once again thanks kaye x Below the Whitfield name see the green Colin Penridge Park ? The long road joining it on the right is McManus Street which runs all the way down to meet the Reservoir Road. Whitfield is either side of McManus. See the Edge Hill name. To the left is Jensen Street. The red line running on it is the suburb boundary. Edge Hill and Stratford are okay. Bit around the school is North Cairns / Paramatta Park. More than one way to skin a cat  Gated complex around town for 6 months in the catchment area. Break lease and move once kids are accepted ;) |
