I am not working yet ,as my plumbing certificate is in the container which only arrives midd October(silly mistake).I went on Thursday to convert my gas licence.Lucky I did cause it was the last one they were having .From now on .If you want a gas licence you will have to goto TAFE for a year, work for some one for a year and just aswell I got my LPG before I came out as I would not have been abel to do the seminar It is not easy and if you dont have a lot of money save some more

3 if you have kids in nappies be prepared I have a 2.5year girl and 24 nappies cost around $25
Fuel is way cheaper here than in UK...about half price. Although going for a gas guzzler is never a good idea.

Not sure what nappies you are buying...must be made with gold leaf! We buy Snugglers from Big W (although are made by someone like Kleenex/big co) for a 14 kg child at 32bucks for 80. In Aldi nappies are good value and not bad quality. If I paid 25 bucks for 24 nappies, my 2.5year old would have been toilet trained at 9 months old!

Agree on the nappy front! I pay $17.99 for a big pack at Aldi - were the only ones not to leak. Good quality. No tabs broken off yet.

If you get your petrol on certain days (here it's a Wednesday) it's a lot cheaper and if you keep your Coles and Woolworths receipts you can get 4c per litre off at certain garages. I tend to pay the same in $ as I did pounds (ie it's almost half the price here!).
