4 yrs almost!-time for another update
 

Time flies-we are here for almost 4yrs. Moved here from good old US of A.

We are now Australian Citizens, bought a house, settled in our jobs and expecting twin girls-bubs due any day.

Will we do this again?
Absolutely!!

Will we suggest anyone to move here?
It is a personal choice. There is a point when you need to forget comparing everything and go with what we have here.

What stops us from going back to USA?
The Medical system here is a blessing:
With wife falling sick in the first year and Medicare by our side, our move was surely being planned up there. We soon took on private health cover. Falling sick in the USA would have been unthinkable.

Annual Leave and Sick Day Policies:
Much more leave. So much more pro-employee policies. +1 for Maternity Leave.

Work life Balance:
With bubs arriving soon, wife can choose to go work part-time.


What do we not like here?
-Shopping Centres close at 5pm-not a big issue
-Branded items so expensive-we shop a lot more online.
-Customer service
