Default 3 days in Melbourne and already liking it

Hello all!!

Its been 3 days only yet i get a feeling of belonging here

Just had a small question though, came in on PR on 11 Sep 2010. I was given a visa stamp saying initial visit to be before 21 Oct 2010 so i guess the PR is already validated. Is there any other stamp of validation or anything else that the immigration at airport would need to put to say this. Is there any other thing i will have to do immediately as i am in Aus?

For all those coming sometime soon, best of luck, am sure you people will like the Auzzie future.

Nope, that's all you needed to do. Welcome to Australia

If you are asking about the visa validation, yes you are done.

I would suggest you to visit the immigration office nearby to get a Welcome KIT. I don't have the idea of how it works in Melbourne. We had a good arrangement of 'Meet and Greet' Services in South Australia and they gave a bunch of Pamplets of what to do and when to do and settling was so easy...

Gypsy,

Thanks for that..so seems like the PR visa validation done.

Any pointers on how you contacted the immigration department, or was it a straight walk-in?

"Meet and greet" does sound good to me and my wife.

Hi

Thanks

Not sure how it works in Victoria. But Victoria got a similar arrangement. Please check the following link

If you need any more clarification, send a mail to Victorian Immigration department.

Take Care
