Default Health insurance in Turkey

Hello,

my partner (UK born and bred) and me (German born and bred) are looking to move to Turkey in the near future with our almost 2 year old daughter.

now my question: I sometimes read in connection with residency permits that there is state - provided healthcare?

Is that the case? When would we qualify? What would be included / covered?

many thanks!

Hi,

Turkey is a beautiful country and the locals are extremely friendly.
We have a holiday home in Turkey.
Health insurance is obligatory and foreigners can - after 1 year- pay in the state health system SGK. It costs you 614 TL per month for you and your family. So you might be obliged to have private health care for the first year.
