Can anyone help please with locations to live in Istanbul on the Asian side
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone could help me out please. My husband has been offered a job in Istanbul and we are looking to relocate....
But where is the question??
He will be working in Umraniye and we are looking for no longer than 40 mins commute. We are 2 young children (2&3) so are looking for a nice community with some parks and green ways and some other expats.
We need to be mindful that our 3 year old will need a English curriculum school and also my 2 year old would need a nursery/pre school.
Any suggestions would be much appeciated as it feels like we are getting no where fast

I would suggest Kadikoy as it's a much nicer place and more to do. Or between Kadikoy and Uskudar but not Uskudar itself as it's quite built up with older type housing/blocks of flats etc. There are so many places to rent so just google etc.Umraniye is Ok (new Ikea etc) and closer to the road bridge over to the European side etc. My son works at a College in Umraniye teaching English as a foreign language and commutes by from near Kadikoy...approx 35 mins. Hope this helps a little.
