Re: Vacancies in Regina (sshhh don't tell the mods)
so around $900 take home (if you prefer 600 pounds home)....
how many days is that for ? or nights.
by comparision if you were OTR driving at a newbie rate of say 35c a mile(might make uo to40c with others).
you would need 4k mls a wk.. lol..no drops or picks inc. to get $1400 top line
but $25 a night back of taxman (when you do yearly taxes).
mind bring your P60 with you when you come ,helps wi first yrs taxes.

Route one is Regina to Edmonton (8hrs)and route two is Regina to Winnipeg 910) hrs.Minimum they are paying is $23 per hr but they said that would more likely be $27 $28 per hour.Once unloade at supermarket,it's head down for 8 hrs and return to depot.shifts are 5 on 2 off or 6 on 3 off.Sounds ok to me.

roadtrain work eh ..nothing like going in feet first!
2 53ft trailors are no the easiest things to pull in winter.no forgeting the prairie winds. does the money include your 4% holiday pay.
just a point though if you do the winnipeg run you must split the trailors to get to a loblaws if i remember correctly.(might be a place ive forgotten)
also you talk about after delivery getting head down for 8hrs....ok in practice but once you have washed /eaten,toilet etc you get up ready to move .....say 6.5hrs sleep unless i read ya wrong.
remember you have to show min of 10 hrs off duty per log page(24hr day)
as the new depot is on the west side o the city, more than a few vils ,towns within reason able travel even moose jaw..on east, white city all depends what you are looking for.
as for the money ...well truth be told $1400 a wk gross is around what i make for mon-frid , day work,.hauling sand/gravel
for the season. and we get bye no probs (manitoba ,rural).

Pense is a small town close ish to Loblaws, but no shops etc.Best bet is to rent at first, then you can decide first hand where you want to live.
BTW,Loblaw pikes run to Winnipeg and Calgary not Edmonton.Their triple 53's run only at night to Saskatoon, stay well clear of these beasts until you have experienced the weather at it's worst,3 x 53' trailers in a storm will be a nightmare for the best drivers, moreso cos they run them light.
