Hi, and welcome to BE.

Trucking isn't a route that will get you a visa for the US, so do you have another visa route or are you citizens/LPR's already?

:)

No we don't have any other route we were hoping it would be like Canada and if you had a job offer off a company you would be able to get in that way

Much tougher than Canada I'm afraid - for an employment based visa it would need to be a different job. What does your wife do and does she have a degree?

Have a read here of the various visa routes for the US - http://britishexpats.com/wiki/Pulaski's_Ways%3A_How_to_Live_and_Work_in_the_USA

What family do you have there, are they close enough family to sponsor you?

HTH.

I don't know if my replies are being posted so this might appear 3 times my wife has a sister there but she isn't a us citizen she works as an accountant but doesn't have any professional qualifications so looks like we are stuck here

Her sister is a possibility, when will she be applying for citizenship? It's not a quick route (figure about 10-12 years to get a green card via a sibling), but it's an option at least.

Good luck.
