reefer drivers

what is it with some fridge drivers, you can park up in an empty lot and 5minutes after hiting your bunk a fridge parks up 2ft from your truck..
ie. husky saskatoon this wk..not a lot of trucks in i parked away from the crowd as i had early start . woke up about midnight with a fridge running full bore.driver even had fng radio blaring, i got out of bunk droped window and asked driver what the hell he was playing at as park was not busy and could park any place , was told i will park anywhere i want blah blah.so i moved .
got up at 4 to start guess what ... the fridge was sitting by its self ,the unit other end of park.worst thing in my book he was a brit..!
i hope he reads this cause your a f&^^%$ c*&^&%$%.
james .
needed to get this out of my system...

Re: reefer drivers

We have reefers and that is something I do worry about upsetting other drivers. I will usually try to park next to another reefer or if none avail will usually park nose in so the reefer is at the back of their trailers which would be the best under the circumstances avail.

If it's a choice between that and me crashing into a school bus because I'm half asleep due to some ignorant toss-pot, I know which choice I'll make. I've spent most of my 20 year driving career pulling fridges and I've always had the common decency not to disturb other drivers when parking for the night. In fact, If I was carrying a full load of frozen food I would switch my own fridge off, as it only loses 6 - 8 degrees over night.

Re: reefer drivers

not a lot you can do if someone is that inconsiderate. Like Davie said, I used to nose in if I had a reefer, but some drivers just don't care about other people.
FFS though, don't start pulling people's pins.

I've been to Pontadau...... where you live

If you are ever driving through Dodge then you would be on route 56 in Kansas and miles from any real civilasation, I know this cos it took about 8 hours non stop driving from Kansas city with just the odd western town and a few mexicans in sight on the route, then about 5 hours driving next day to get to the next f**kin bit of civilisation.
If I had Known I would have gone down through Wichita and along I-40.
