Reply I recieved from PEI immigration department today.

Good Morning,
In reference to your email about truck drivers and the PEI Nominee Program I am not sure where you are receiving your information from.
If an individual wants to work for a Canadian company and that company is willing to hire full time the applicant then this applicant can apply for a work permit and come to Canada to work for this particular company.
If the Island company would like to sponsor the individual that is working for them through the PEI PNP program as a skilled worker the PEI Nominee office will do so.
I am not aware of any policy changes within the Provincial government nor am I aware of any pending changes to the Federal regulations governing the Nominee programs that would not allow the Province's to not continue to nominate a worker for permanent residence.
If you could please forward to me the information that you are using to justify the position that you have indicated I would appreciate it so I may review and discuss with the sources to ensure that they are aware of the criteria of the nominee program on Prince Edward Island.
Sincerely,
