Long haul from Nova Scotia

Hi there, we have just found the trucking forum on this site. We are hoping to make the move to Nova Scotia and my hubby is a trucker. Does anybody know of any reputable long haul trucking firms running out from here ?

Hi There,

Try these links for starters:

http://www.safetycollege.ca/promotions/links.htm

http://www.canadatransportation.com/...panies_CAA.htm

Then try and get hold of Andy who runs his own truck out of NS. Great guy (& a Leeds Fan) will help you no end. He has work with a company called GTL and he lives in a lovely place called Kentville in the Anapolis Valley a gorgeous part of NS.

ALSO:

RodRos&Co are now in NS & Rosie posted the following ref employer:

Rod will be working for Clarkes transport, Bayers Lake.

Check out the link to her thread "Were on our way"

Anything else please ask.

Cheers D

And pudding....of course ;)

If your anywhere near Sandown Race course over the week end then the Emmigrate show is on and it is well worth a visit we went last year and are going again over the week end to tie down a few things on the financial and removal sides.

Cheers Dave

Yeh there usualy aint many employers attend few and far between there was 1 from PEI last year and that was Bulk Carriers.

Its good for things like Financial questions on moving large amounts of money e.g. If we knew defo we were moving this time last year we could have given HiFX £10.000 and got a rate of $2.30 to the £1.00 whereas now it is a crappy $1.94 today.

Removals & speaking face to face with the Canadian High Commission if you have any questions.

Good luck with NS anyway if you need anything ask away on here.

Dave

Hi there Dave, just wondering how you got on at the show, we did try to see if we could get down, but had too many other commitments .........You sound as though you are in final stages ? Are you looking at Nova Scotia too ? Presumably you are in trucking game also ? Have been looking at all the links you gave us, hopefully will be making contact soon.

Hi

Rod has started work today for Clarkes Road Transport, he's away with a trainer/coach for 7 to 10 days going to New Jersey and beyond lol.

There are a few companies that are willing to do the LMO/TWP thing in NS now, if you have any questions send me a pm and I'll help as much as I can.

Sorry bit pushed for time, got to get a photocopy of my visitor permit otherwise Rods heading to the states with no medical cover:ohmy::ohmy:
