Re: H and R
Hi,
No we've not heard anything yet. I hate this waiting around, not knowing! Hopefully should hear this week. Where did your husband have his interview? Ryan had his in Reading.

Our interview was in Reading too, we live in Kent and have 3 children. We've been trying to move to Canada for about 5 years now but it's a bit scary now thinking it might be a reality!!

Re: H and R
Just hitting brick walls really! We went for a one week trip to Calgary in 2006 and was told that hubby needed 2 years HGV experience so waited 9 months to apply and was told that it had changed and he needed 5 years experience. Started looking into it again in January 2010 but husband had 6 points on his licence and was told by Westcan he needed a clean licence. The points come off this month so he has reapplied through H and R. Though finances might now be a problem, he was supposed to get £10,000 inheritance from his Gran's estate but his parents have changed their minds and said he can only have £2,500 - not sure it's meant to be but Hubby is very determined!!!

Think you may be confusing Nikkinoo75 with the OP maybe? I assume that Nikkinoo75's husband is a UKC and would therefore need a TWP - admittedly she hasn't said so, but she hasn't said her husband is Canadian either.

OH says to try BJs in Redcliffe, he seems to think they're recruiting and they work out on the rigs. Hope that helps.

Thanks Annashep. He just phoned them for feedback and was told that their decision was based on the fact that we have a young family and he'd be away from home for two weeks at a time. Our children are 12, 6 and 4 months.
