They have a new subsiduary, paying even better rates. With an ACE despatcher. He is nearly telepathic I'm told, knows what you're thinking all the time.

Just can't remember who they might be......

Guaranteed $210.00 per day. Working 24 days on, 4 off, but plenty of overtime if wanted.

In addition, every drivers receives a Fort Mcmurray Living Allowance of $1050.00 per month

In total that equates to around $70-80k per year without OT. Some of the top seniority drivers are on $100-$130k per year.

Sorry guys!! Forgot I posted all that time ago..... Shows how often you look on expats once you get to Canada.

Ok, here goes!

First and foremost - The company WILL NOT sponsor for TWP or PR.

Jobs are available for persons already entitled to work in Canada. Preferrably Class 1 and 2 drivers (canadian licence).

The company is Diversified Transportation in Fort McMurray, Alberta.

Interesting fact: The Fort McMurray coach operation is in fact the largest independant Coach service in Canada (Bigger than Coach Canada or Greyhound)

Split shift drivers (as the passengers are oilfield workers who usually work a 10 or 12 hr shift).

Mixed bag of shift patterns for coach drivers - 5/2, 21/7. 12/2 etc.

The money is about the same as I originally posted - currently, give or take about $200 a day without O/T plus there is an addtional $1200 a month living allowance.

No camp spaces for drivers. You have to live in Fort Mc (not supplied by company)

So, a broad range, but drivers (seniority of course!) earn between $70k and $120k per year.

Don't believe all you read about Fort Mc. Lets face it, its THE economy of Canada. Its a growing city and projections show its only going to get bigger. Where else in the world, in these uncertain times, does a family NOT wince at buying a basic 3 bed house for $600k? Yes, houses are that expensive! but over the last 2 months, houses have been selling for MORE THAN asking price! Why would that be???
