People who charge for a (Hyper) JOB in canada should be arrested, different if its to apply for Visas but they can learn a lot from read this and other forums and asking consulate directly via email.

The whole process is quite easy and straightforward, you just have to check all your paperwork 3 times. The immigration section of expats is invaluable.

Welcome to this section of BE. Just a few things to say & I'm NOT sorry for repeating myself:
NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER
Use an agency there is absolutely NO NEED to use one.
As has been mentioned the paperwork is quite straight forward and all the info an agency will require YOU are going to have to supply it anyway so why would you pay someone £9000 to send something off for you. Even after paying £9000 NOBODY not the agency not anyone can give you a 100% guarantee you will be successful in gaining Permanant Residency (PR) THE ONLY department who will make that decision are the Canadian Gov Departments you have to deal with and submit your application to they have the final say in giving you your PR visa's.
Thats justa quick heads up and my opinion gotta go as it's OH's Birthday today and can't sit on here all night.....will got lynched
Any other Q's fire away and we can answer them for you & don't worry everyone on here is helpful.....except BT but we think Hs's done a runner....

Spoke to lots of UK truck drivers out here and not one of them used an agent including myself , All the trucking companies are well used to the process by now and will guide you all the way
<think BT as finally succumbed to the fact that moving out to Canada as a truck driver isn't that bad after all >

Agree, never pay for a simple thing that you are able to acheive by easy reading the guidelines and use the net forums to gain answers or email the Canadian Consulate direct, they are good to assist.

Re: Don't get ripped off OK
hi there is no other way into bison transport as an immigrant ,you have to use fred hilf and his immigration friends firm unless you are a canadian resident and have your pr bison will not recruit you direct themselves they will send you through there foreign recruiter fred hilf. good luck
Bison has such a good reputation they want to protect it hence insisting you go through a legal firm to make sure its all done correctly.
I have heard some horror stories from drivers with other companies who did it the cheap way all i can say is im very happy with Bison fair pay, treated well, as much home time as i want etc.
The $8000 was the best money i have ever spent in my life.
All i can say to those who did it the cheap way is good luck to you but dont keep bashing Fred He is a genuine man, he was very helpful he did not just get us here then leave on our own, he was invalueable in the first few weeks with help and advice on any topic you can think of all i had to do was pick up the phone.
And to those of you thinking about coming over dont discount Bison + Fred if you can afford to use Freds Services you would be well advised to seriously consider it, as you all know anything legal can get very complicated.

90% anyone with a clean record and an existing LGV driver can do it, you may as well go piss 7k at the local boozer.
Middle men make you pay and bleed.
The Consulate even frown upon them, wake up you lot.:curse:
