cdl/hgv medical
 
is it worth my time taking an hgv medical just before i depart to ca.at own doctor, i know ill have to take a drug test in ca.
or is it not accepted by ca. authorities?
and have to find doctor to do medical in ca.

You will have to have a medical from a Canadian doctor so i would wait until you get here. This applies to NS at least as there is a special form that the doc has to fill in. It will be cheaper here as well, although i can't remember what mine cost.

Saskatchewan SGI accepted my UK medical for the initial licence and then again for my first renewal in Oct last year (you have to renew your CDL every year at the end of your birth month, in saskatchewan at least, don't know about other provinces). I took my drug test in Canada, paid for by the company, both times.
I'd check with the province you're going to. Things change all the time.

i agree there mate, mine doesn't have to be renewed until my 65th birthday so i have a couple of years to go yet.......:rofl:

I got their 8 yrs ago,and knowing that you 2 jung whipper snappers are moaning about it makes me feel not a lot junger:eek: but i look great for my age,thats my story and i'm sticking to it:rofl:

Happy Birthday Mate for morrow amd many happy returns of the day.

I'm only 14.......ah bolloc*s I hate dissaleksia or is that a russian state.

On the medical side Robin from SE gave me the forms to get them completed here in UK by my Army Doc as it is free for us therefore he told me to get them done here but on the correct form for PEI.

HAHAHAHAHA That will cheer ya all up a tight Jock I am
