Well I was out there with my placard at the London march on Saturday, there were tens of thousands of people there, and no one was wailing or weeping. In fact it was a joyful and positive event. Lots of children, some pretty funny home made signs, lots of dogs accompanying and enjoying! Mind you, good weather helped.

Women have learned the hard way that the only way to attain and retain their rights is to present a united front. The erosion of women's rights in one country can lead to the domino effect. I am thrilled that women worldwide realize just what a watershed moment is happening in the US. And as to your second sentence, yes, yes, and yes.

No one can say that women in this country have not made incredible progress in the last few decades and in fact they will continue to do so.
You talk about equality in Europe yet with all the non-European ethnics who have lived in Europe for years and years and a couple of generations there isn't one leader of any European country whose ancestors came from a non European country

I feel more sympathy for the people in this country who have seen their jobs move away and live in depressed towns and the rural poor in States such as Miss and Alabama.
Eight years of Obama didn't do much for them. The Democrat Party failed them miserably

I didn't have a placard, but I dragged the whole family to the march in Seattle and you're absolutely right - it was a very happy and empowering experience. My 14-year-old daughter, who is extremely vocal about women's rights, was thrilled to be part of something that is so much bigger than we are.

I'm a socialist, have been all my life, but if people's jobs fade away (remember buggy whips?) they have to get up off their small town arses and retrain, move on, get a job in a different sector or a different town. Obama's administration delivered near full employment for gods sake!!
Even sorry-ass trumpites have to take responsibility for themselves and their families.

And if they dont have the funds to retrain and move?
Or not smart enough to go to college?
I am first to admit I have no skills but I am also not smart enough for college or trades programs nor have the funds to retrain or access to funds.
Lots of other hurdles that block people from retraining and as the workfoce becomes more skilled requiring more education it leaves more and more out since we are not all equal in learning ability.

I agree with you, but even if it were true, so what? The right to assemble is protected under the First Amendment, so they are free to protest under the Bill of Rights. Shutting people down from speaking out against their government, or how they perceive their rights to be handled by their country of residence isn't patriotism, it's fascism.
