I might be, but I don't think my taste in confectionery is evidence either way.

I don't care much for the twizzler type, but I do like Red Vines both the red and purple variety, but they are near impossible to find in Canada.

But black licorice which actually contains licorice yuck. Plus I prefer candy will less risks....lol

Apparently eating too much foods containing licorice while pregnant or breast feeding may cause brain development issues in baby and lead to cognitive issues later in life for the baby.

licorice root extract apparently can also interact with medications of various types.

Almost like foods containing licorice needs to have a warning label

I knew the extract was good as a cough syrup as its a common ingredient in herbal cough syrups but had no idea it could cause heart issues, interact with medications or possibly cause brain development issues in babies.

Well, I like all licorice, including the wooden root. But the red ones are practically candy so I really like them ! Especially Nibs if they still have those.

Nibs are not bad, they still make those, and they make was is essentially a long nib for those who desire a longer nib I guess...lol

It's only this version I don't care for.

When I go to the US, I always stock up on red vines......London Drugs sells small bags of Red Vines but they are kind of expensive but pretty much everything in Canada is expensive....

I suppose drinking a whole bottle of Black Sambuca is not a good idea then.

I suppose that would very much depend upon your goal.

I do like the odd liqourice treat but I'd rather it wasn't in my alcohol.

Licorice is vile whether in the form of a string of rubber, Fennel, Tarragon or drink,

Sambuca many a regretful morning based on that stuff.

Licorice tea is the only licorice that I didn't take a complete fancy to.

I’ve always loved licorice, but not the coloured stuff. I used to eat loads of it when I was a child. Does anyone remember licorice tablets, the were black oblong gums?

I remember all of them but particularly the Nipits, they were so tiny, just looked on Amazon, and there are so many different packs available, and cheap.

I used to get a French brand of liquorice pellets, round tin, very small. Forgot the name?
